Sebastian Bach: "I'm divorced because of some of the stuff on Metal Sludge"

Stevie Rachelle Vs: Sebastian Bach

-An open letter and invitation to Sebastian Bach from Stevie Rachelle-

Hey Sebastian,

Congrats on another new CD. It sounds ok, but that new video is a bit of a pile of shit. Of course that's just my 2 cents, but I am not alone. Countless others noted their opinions from youtube to Blabbernutz and back. Surely you read all that. But it's all good, it's just rock n' roll.

Moving along.

As for Metal Sludge, we don't suck peoples ass - like this HERE. Never have, never will.

We don't drink n' drive either. Or beat our girl friends, or get arrested for disorderly conduct and possesion. But sometimes rock stars do. We report that stuff. Always have, always will.

You see Baz, if you don't get arrested for doing stupid shit and getting caught on tape doing it (2010), then you don't get mentioned here. If you don't make crazy statements, like the time you threatened to get a gun and shoot the bartender in NJ, and plead guilty to drug possession after that arrest (2002) then you won't make the news. Like your most recent arrest in May 2011, another for possession. And if you didn't act out as a complete jackass like the time you went nuts on a guy for wearing a Metal Sludge shirt in NYC, again we wouldn't even know you're alive. But you continue to do all this crazy shit as far back as the bottle throwing incident. That was 1989, and in 2004 you were throwing a ashtray into a mirror at a strip club - and that caught up to you last fall in Toronto. There is a pattern here. It's not our pattern, it's yours.

You my friend, are delusional in your recent interview with SLEAZROXX.

Sleaze Roxx: Last question, there's a particular website (Metal Sludge) out there that for whatever reason has targeted you in particular. I don't know exactly what went down -- can you share some insight as to what happened?

Sebastian Bach: Right, Stevie Rachelle's website. (pauses) I'll tell you exactly what that's about. Stevie Rachelle was in a band called Tuff that was a Skid Row/Poison kind of band that never made it. He came up with a website about the bands that did make it. He's a jealous guy that never had any musical success. When he started his website Stevie Rachelle emailed me asking me to do an interview for the website. I went to look at the website and I said, "No. I think your website sucks. I think this website is bullshit. I think it's wrong that you have nothing better to do with your time than to fuck with people's lives. You can hate me, but I'm not doing an interview for your bullshit website." I received a response from him saying, "Well, then we're going to make your life a living hell." That's exactly what he's tried to do. He goes after my children, he goes after my ex-wife, he goes after my current girlfriend -- I'm divorced because of some of the stuff on that website and my kids don't have their father partially due to that website. Let me just say that I really look forward to meeting him again in person -- as soon as I can. I certainly have some things to say to Stevie Rachelle from Tuff... we'll see whose tough in person.

For starters, you emailed Metal Sludge on Sunday September 6th 1998 and loved our site. We have your original email on a history link right HERE And this is exactly what you wrote:

"your site is hilarious i was laughing my ass off ! keep it up i dig the writing style of you guys , it's totally entertaining & funny ! big balls i can diggit !"

Do you really think it's Metal Sludge's fault for you getting divorced? How about TMZ? Are they at fault too? Maybe your wife just got sick of you acting like a fucking juvenile while she was trying to raise your kids! Ever think of that? I am part of the reason your children don't see their Father. Really? How much pot are you smoking?

Perhaps all the pot you have been smoking has truly fried your memory. Did you forget your answer about the internet and your divorce in this interview clarification last week?

"You have recently partly blamed the Internet for the demise of your marriage. Do you think it’s even harder than before to be a rock star in the Internet age because of all the rumors that get emphasized?

I’d like to kind of clarify what I meant by that.Nobody was responsible for the demise of my marriage except me. I was the one responsible, not the Internet. Sometimes I say things in interviews because I’m trying to make you laugh, or trying to be funny. But some things aren’t funny. When I said it takes a strong girl to be with a rock’n’roller, or a girl who can’t work a computer, I was trying to make a joke. But it’s actually not a joke, and it’s not funny. If I’m with a girl and she’s with me, just because I’m on the road doesn’t mean I have any right to do whatever I want to do. I would like to apologize to my ex-wife for saying that, and also to my current girlfriend for saying really stupid shit sometimes that I think is funny, and it’s not. When I read it in print, it doesn’t come across the same as I was saying it, out of my mouth. If I cheat on the one I love, it’s not the Internet’s fault, it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have said that, and I should own up to being a jerk. That’s reality. I shouldn’t blame others for the things I do, I should take responsibility for what I do. That’s the truth." by Sebastian Bach on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 3:40pm

If you do dumb shit. Then you're probably gonna look dumb. Look in the mirror buddy.

No one is jealous of you here. Sure, you sold some records and hung some nice plaques on your wall. But you should be thanking Jon Bon Jovi for that today. And Rachel & Snake for writing those nice songs that still get played on the radio and you get to sing when Axl takes you to play arenas and stadiums. Without them, you're still in Madame X. Enjoy the ride man.

As for saying I, or we (Metal Sludge) have went after your children. Really? How so? Your son Paris is in his 20s, and plays drums in a rock band. And yes we have reached out to interview him, but he declined. Afterall, he is a grown man, and older now than you were when Skid Row came out. I am guessing your parents were not chaperoning your interviews then.

As for meeting me in person, well the invitation is there. I reached out to you twice, publically 2 weeks ago with no reply.

I am not a violent person. I have no ill will or bad intention. But I'd love to give you your wish to meet up. Just remember, if I care to make fun of you, or have an opinion - that is my right. If you don't like Metal Sludge, or me, great. You don't have to. I am a fan of you, and your (Skid Row) work. But I do think you're a bit of a tool at times and have done some really dumb shit. Grow up.

In the meantime, take note buddy - you're in my town now. So be careful who you say what to when hangin' with Dimebags hag Rita, and what girl you invite to drink wine with at Matt Sorums house. And what you do with your dick when Minnie Gupta isn't in town.

I live and die by my sword. Do you?

New Aerosmith Studio Video

09/08/2011
.
(hennemusic) The work continues for Aerosmith as they build their new album. A new video of a studio jam has surfaced, with Brad Whitford laying down some riffs and Steven Tyler joining in, while Joey Kramer keeps the backbeat locked in place.

The rock legends entered guitarist Joe Perry's The Boneyard studio in suburban Boston and their main studio, Pandora's Box, early this summer with long-time producer Jack Douglas to begin recording their 14th studio album and first set of original material since 2001's "Just Push Play" and first studio album since 2004's blues covers CD, "Honkin' On Bobo."

"The new album should be out around May 2012," reports Jack. "I know that's a long wait, but after the South American tour and Japan in October, November and December, we will just get back to work on it in mid-January. For those who are asking, this album will be raw, nasty, tough rock with a good deal of the old Aerosmith 'tongue in cheek.'" Check it out the video here

Red Hot Debut For The Red Hot Chili Peppers

09/08/2011
.
Red Hot Chili Peppers new album, I'm With You has debuted, at No. 2 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart.

The album's first week sales tallied 228,926 copies according to SoundScan. The album is also No. 1 on Billboard's Rock and Alternative album charts, as well as on Top Internet Albums and iTunes Top Alternative Albums chart.

Released by Warner Bros. Records on August 29th, I'm With You is also a smash around the world, with No. 1 debuts in Argentina, Brazil, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, and No. 2 debuts in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada and France.

The album's first single, "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie," the band's 12th No. 1 single at Alternative radio, climbs to No. 1 at Triple A this week after spending four weeks atop the Alternative chart. The Los Angeles quartet surpassed its own record for the artist with the most Number One singles in Modern Rock radio chart history with 12 last month.

Van Halen delay due to EVH/DLR spat

As frustration behind the eventual appearance of Van Halen’s latest album continues, rumours circulate about a possible Download headline appearance

Reported by Cameron Pirie

Published: September 7, 2011. © Rock AAA.

Will we ever get to hear the new album?

The Van Halen camp remains disturbingly quiet about the release of their long awaited album but the rumour is that the latest delay is due to Eddie Van Halen insisting that some of Dave Lee Roth’s vocal tracks be re-recorded.

Melodicrock.com claims some insider information, but stops short of confirming that the tracks are being re-worked. An un-named source is quoted as saying:

“As for the album being shelved goes, it’s not true. However, I will say that the delay lies within the vocals. That seems to be the main roadblock. Eddie is just not satisfied with the vocals that have been recorded and re-recorded which has caused a lot of frustration with both the Van Halen and Roth Camps alike.”

The author of the piece on the site continues:

“I hear management is shopping for a deal (no word if anyone outside VH actually has a copy or has heard anything – I think not at this stage), but labels are being approached in search of a deal….and a BIG deal from what I was told!

“I’m told there is still hope to get the album released this side of Christmas, but that is certainly not for certain.

“Prior talk of an exclusive WalMart deal for the album is diminishing – I’m told the preference is one label for a worldwide deal.”

According to the sites un-named insider in the camp, the band has also received an offer to headline Download 2012 but have delayed accepting until further European dates are investigated, and suggestions are that the US remains a priority in terms of touring.

Progress in the making of the album has been fraught with problems as has the band’s attempt to get out on the road when scheduled shows in Australia were pulled when the Soundwave Revolution touring festival was pulled at the last minute in August

Eddie Murphy To Host 2012 Academy Awards?

(RTTNews) - Eddie Murphy has been pegged to host the 2012 Academy Awards; and, while no announcement has been made, sources close to the event say he is currently the top choice.

A decision is anticipated for later this week as show producers Don Mischer and Brett Ratner are set to meet with Academy of Motion Pictures President Tom Sherak. The awards ceremony takes place in February.

Other reports have indicated that the show's producers are eager to switch the ceremony's format back to a one comedian host. Recent shows featuring co-hosts (James Franco/Anne Hathaway and Steve Martin/Alec Baldwin) have not gone off well.

In the meantime, Murphy has two films set for release: the Ratner-directed "Tower Heist" (due in early November); and, "A Thousand Words" (due in January).

Religious fanatics fire at Foo Fighters

Westboro Baptist Church singles out Grohl and co for latest hate campaign, saying band should use fame to preach obedience
Westboro Baptist Church

Hate campaign: A young Westboro activist

An infamous religious sect have set their sights on the Foo Fighters for their next hate campaign.

The Westboro Baptist Church is well-known for its “God hates fags” billboards and protesting near the funerals of military personnel. Last year they enraged the rock community by staging a demonstration near the funeral of Ronnie James Dio.

Now the church, led by Fred Phelps and those members of his family who haven’t disowned him, are planning to stage a protest outside the Foo Fighters’ concert in Kansas on September 16.

It’s thought they were spurred into action after Dave Grohl and co released a spoof homo-erotic video called Hot Buns to promote the tour.

A church statement says: “The entertainment industry is a microcosm of the people in this doomed nation: hard-hearted, hell-bound and hedonistic.”

It states the Foos “have a platform and should be using it to encourage obedience to God; instead you teach every person who will listen all things contrary to him: fornication, adultery, idolatry, fags.”

The church then turns on the band’s fans, saying: “You have no proper thoughts of the God that created you, but we’ll be there to make sure you don’t forget when you haul your rebellious carcasses into the Sprint Center to watch God-hating fools their shtick.

“The day of your destruction is upon you, even as you vainly seek comfort in the frivolities of this life.”

Earlier this week the church released a parody of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody to mark what would have been Freddie Mercury’s 65th birthday. Revealing “Bohemian Tragedy” they said: “Freddie should really have listened to God and so should you.”

God Bless Ozzy Osbourne coming to DVD

The new film, “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne,” had a short run in theatres last month but is now on its way into your homes on DVD.

Eagle Rock Entertainment has set a November 15 release date for the DVD and Blu-ray editions of the feature-length documentary about the life of the legendary heavy metal singer, co-produced by Ozzy's son, Jack Osbourne.

The movie – which debuted earlier this year at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival - is packed with never-before-seen Black Sabbath footage and recent solo tour clips. Fellow musicians such as Paul McCartney, Tommy Lee and others will also share stories, while an exclusive interview with the Osbourne family explains why bringing Ozzy's storied history to life — through the eyes of his son Jack — was the perfect motivation to capture the story of one of music’s greatest icons on film.

Ozzy recently wrapped up his “Scream” tour and is now rumored to be working behind closed doors with Black Sabbath on a possible new album and tour for 2012.

Anthony Michael Hall BUSTED in Neighborhood Dispute

Anthony Michael Hall was arrested by one of his neighbors -- after allegedly going on a loud and violent tear around his Westside L.A. condo complex.

TMZ has learned Hall's neighbor made a citizen's arrest after the actor allegedly tore up plants, yelled at people in the complex, and pounded on doors.

One of the neighbors called LAPD -- and when officers showed up ... demanded they arrest Hall -- best known for roles in 80s teen flicks like "Weird Science."

Hall was booked on suspicion of disturbing the peace, and released shortly after midnight.

Kurt Angle The PROOF I Wasn't Too Drunk to Drive

Wrestling superstar Kurt Angle says his blood alcohol level was WAY under the legal limit when he was arrested for drunk driving this weekend ... and now TMZ has a police document that seems to back up his story.

We've obtained the Certificate of Blood Alcohol Analysis ... issued by the State of Virginia ... which shows Kurt's B.A.C. was .06 at the time of his arrest. The legal limit in VA is .08.

The TNA Wrestling champ has released a statement on the matter ... saying, "I did not believe my driving behavior was reckless or otherwise improper."

He adds, "I fully cooperated with the officer who clearly recognized me while performing his standard procedures. Subsequent to the stop, I was asked to submit to a breathalyzer test and passed. I do not believe that I broke any laws and will be entering a plea of not guilty in response to any pending charges."

As TMZ previously reported, troopers pulled over Angle's car after receiving a tip from another motorist ... who claimed the wrestler was driving erratically.

Angle explains, "I was returning from an iMPACT Wrestling show in an unfamiliar place, late at night and was trying to find the exit for my hotel."

Anthony Michael Hall Neighbors FRIGHTENED 'He Wants to Fight Everyone'

Anthony Michael Hall has been scaring the crap out of his neighbors for months ... screaming obscenities and challenging people to fights in the street ... this according to sources close to the actor.

Several people who live near Hall in Playa del Rey, CA tell TMZ ... when Hall was arrested for allegedly terrorizing his condo complex last night, no one was shocked because he's been acting strange for a while.

We're told Hall is often seen acting aggressive outside of his unit -- cussing at people who walk by, flipping them off and even attempting to squirt people with a hose ... for no apparent reason.

Our sources say neighbors complained to the housing association ... but no action had been taken against Hall.

One person tells us, "I have considered buying a gun to stay safe from Hall ... he's the scariest person I've ever encountered in my life."

'Pawn Stars' Chumlee Drops $11k on B-Day Bash

LET'S POP CRISTAL!!!

"Pawn Stars" badass Austin "Chumlee" Russell made one hell of a birthday negotiation at a nightclub this weekend -- You give me 40 bottles of Cristal ... I'll give you $11 THOUSAND DOLLARS!!

Chumlee rolled into Push nightclub in Tunica, Mississippi on Saturday night -- and decided he wanted to treat the entire place to some fancy champagne ... so he did.

Chum -- who was hanging with "Pawn Stars" bodyguard Antoine -- racked up a total bill of $9,558 ... and then dropped a $2,000 tip ... for a grand total of $11,558.

Wonder what the Old Man would say ...

Al Davis Suggests Beef w/ Al Michaels Is Over Bogus Adultery Report

Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis believes Al Michaels secretly blames him for planting a FALSE news report about Michaels cheating on his wife a while back ... and suggests that's the REAL reason Michaels blasted him on TMZ over the weekend.

After the NFL announcer RIPPED Davis ... calling him a terrible owner who's probably gonna die soon ... Oakland Raiders P.R. Director Mike Taylor gave the following statement to TMZ:

"We have no idea what Michaels was blathering about. I do remember Michaels being associated with an ultimately bogus report about adultery and other misdeeds and he thought Al Davis had something to do with it. Al Davis had nothing to do with it."

"During the recent Raiders/Saints broadcast, Chris Collinsworth put Michaels in his place when Michaels was speaking about the Raiders. John Madden did the same thing when he was in the booth with Michaels."

"We do not know what started this."

FYI -- The "report" Taylor is referring to was a radio station prank back in 1997 ... and as Taylor pointed out, there was NO TRUTH to the notion that Michaels ever committed adultery.

Bach: "My albums just blow their (Skid Row) albums away!"

"To me, my albums sound more like original SKID ROW
than the new SKID ROW sounds like SKID ROW."

Radio Metal recently conducted an interview with former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach. An excerpt from the chat follows below.

Radio Metal: One of the strongest videos in hard rock history is the one you did with SKID ROW for "18 And Life". On the other hand, the video for your latest single is much lighter and is clearly on the fun and rock 'n' roll side. Does this mean you don't want to get too serious nowadays?

Sebastian Bach: To be honest with you, the money we spent for the three videos we shot for "Kicking & Screaming" was less than the money for the catering truck on the "18 And Life" video. Those are 300,000-dollar videos. Since there's no TV stations, at least in America, that will play the videos, we're very lucky to even be doing videos. But the technology is so advanced, the filming is all high-def, and it looks really clear and cool. The "Kicking & Screaming" video is basically just video performance with us, and because I wrote the lyrics for my girlfriend, she's in the video when the lyrics are talking about her. She makes the video look a lot prettier than just us three greasy rockers! (Laughs) It's just fun. I read online a comment like, "Why is he smiling?" Number one, nobody told me I couldn't smile, and number two, I'm so happy with the music and the way my girl looks, I'm smiling because I'm really happy! I'm like: "I love this song, I love the lyrics and I'm having fun". To me, that song is so heavy and cool that it makes me smile. This is fucking really cool, I really like it! I didn't know you weren't allowed to smile, I didn't know there was a rule against that!

Radio Metal: Why would somebody ask why you're smiling? That's strange…

Sebastian Bach: I don't know. Even my manager said that at first. Again, the song is very heavy, so I guess I should be making a mean face! (Laughs) I don't think about what face I should make, I'm not that contrived. I don't plan things out like that, I just try to have emotion. It always comes down to emotion, that's what music is to me. It's about feeling things. And above all, rock 'n' roll should be a lot of fun, and it is, if you let it be.

Radio Metal: Everybody has an idea about what is metal and what is not, so I guess smiling is not metal!

Sebastian Bach: Smiling is not metal, but on the VAN HALEN-David Lee Roth "Jump" video, which was just a performance piece, they're smiling and having fun. I'm a VAN HALEN fan, and I think those videos are some of the best videos ever. Rock 'n' roll is totally fun, it should be about escaping normal, conventional life. Yeah, Rock 'n' roll is fun. Ozzy Osbourne has fun!

Radio Metal: I saw him on stage this summer, and, yeah, he was smiling!

Sebastian Bach: Yes, rock 'n' roll is fun, man! It makes me smile!

Radio Metal: It's now been over ten years that you've been releasing music as a solo artist. Aren't you missing playing in a real, stable band context, being equal with your band mates and not a singer with a backing band?

Sebastian Bach: I guess you're referring to my old band, SKID ROW. I think if you listen to the music they make without me, and then to "Angel Down" and "Kicking & Screaming", you would realize why we're not together. I don't want to brag, but my albums just blow their fucking albums away, and anybody with two ears would tell you that. To me, my albums sound more like original SKID ROW than the new SKID ROW sounds like SKID ROW.

Radio Metal: That was actually one of my questions: your solo albums are much more aggressive and heavy than what SKID ROW does today. Does this mean that the heaviness and aggressiveness of the older SKID ROW albums, especially "Slave To The Grind", came from you?

Sebastian Bach: Yes, it did. I'm not gonna lie to you: I am a guy that makes sure his CDs sound like that. People can say I'm hard to work with. I'm not hard to work with. I just refuse to suck! I will not put out a fucking CD that sucks. I have a good ear. We don't like each other, but even Snake from SKID ROW said in an interview: "Sebastian's biggest contribution to SKID ROW was that he could take a good song." And I can. If I feel a song in my heart, like "18 And Life", then I can really sing it emotionally, and that's what people relate to, it's emotion. Snake's a manager now, he manages other bands, he's into the business side of things. I'm not into that. I'm more into the creative side of music. That's why I got in it. I didn't get in it as a job, I got in it 'cause I've always been a singer, and my voice just has a life of its own. I was the metalhead in SKID ROW. I was the guy that would be in the studio when those guys would be playing golf or doing business. I was the guy that was in there all the time, making sure that those albums sounded like they sound. And I will keep doing that for the rest of my life. I love making CDs, it's very fun to me. I like writing songs, doing album covers and making videos. It's very fun, I get very excited about it. Ask my girlfriend, I even get too excited! (Laughs)
