Metallica Anniversary Inspired Jason Newsted To Launch New Band
(Classic Rock) Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted says he had the best teacher ever in frontman James Hetfield when it came to learning how to lead his own band.

Newsted's self-titled outfit has released their first EP after he announced the end of a self-imposed semi-retirement last year. And he's credited fans for bringing him back when he found it difficult to keep going after quitting Metallica in 2001, despite work with Echobrain, Ozzy Osbourne, Voivod and others.

He insists it was important to give the new band his own name, telling Geeks Of Doom: "I wanted to make it very clear what was happening this time: that this was a fan-driven, enlightened, happening, offering. It was absolutely fuelled by the fans.

"When I played with Metallica at The Fillmore for the 30th anniversary shows I thought it was going to be fun. I had no idea the outcome was going to be like it was.

"The actual physical feeling from the fans, the energy, the respect, just the magnitude of it – I had no idea. It hit me hard, and it got better with each day as we played together and then I just felt it again. They called me back, and that's why we are talking now." more on this story

Lamb Of God's Randy Blythe Mentally Preparing For Manslaughter Trial
Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe shared his thoughts with fans as he prepares for his upcoming manslaughter trail in the Czech Republic.

This weekend Blythe had this to say via an Instagram posting: "The last 2 or 3 days I have been getting ready mentally to leave my home & return to Prague to do this whole trial thing in early February. It's not something I particularly WANT to do; but inside, my gut & heart tells me it is the RIGHT thing to do. I cannot turn my back [on] the right thing.

As I've been thinking, I've [been] shooting [pictures] a lot around my hometown. I love this place. A couple of days ago I went to my mechanic to get my truck worked on- the garage is over near the CSX train yard here in Richmond. I dropped off my truck & went creeping under the over pass that runs above the tracks. As usual, there was a lot of sleeping gear, trash, old mattresses & stuff that homeless people keep there. In my younger days, I used to ride freight trains across our country.

"I have spent many nights under bridges just like this one in freight yards across the USA. I have always loved to travel, & have been across the USA three times without a dime in my pocket most of the time, learning the survival skills of the hobos & street people of our country. You can get by with almost nothing if you know what you are doing. This old suit case sitting up on this ledge really captured my attention. I wonder what it once held? Safe travels to whoever owns it…" You can see the photos here.

Beatles Classic Enters The Public Domain
(Gibson) Thanks to a legal loophole, The Beatles' classic "Love Me Do" is currently in the public domain, free to be covered by anyone with the means to record, without approval or compensation for those involved in its creation.

The song has just entered the public domain in Europe, and small labels are already taking advantage of the opportunity to re-record the 1963 hit. Several have already rushed out their own versions of the song, and plenty more are expected. European copyright laws protect a recorded track for fifty years, which "Love Me Do" has just passed, as of January 1.

Other Beatles songs may mange to escape this most unauthorized of fates: the law is under consideration for an amendment this year, which would see the copyright period stretch from 50 years to 70 years (which is closer to the US threshold of 95 years), but the new protection isn't expected to be retroactive, so "Love Me Do" is destined to be reimagined, recast and otherwise re-recorded. more on this story

Senses Fail Releasing New Album in March
Senses Fail have set a March 26, 2013 North American release date for their fifth studio album, Renacer.

The album, pronounced ray-nah-serr, was recorded in Los Angeles, California at both The Airport Studio and Red Bull Studio with producer Shaun Lopez (Far, Deftones).

"We celebrated our 10 year anniversary in February 2012 and immediately got to work writing Renacer," says singer Buddy Nielsen. "The approach to this record was to embrace change and explore a different side of the band. The process was long, but was probably the smoothest out of any other record because we wrote without any boundaries. Renacer is by far our heaviest effort to date, which felt like a natural progression for us."

"We chose to work with Shaun because of our respect and love of the music he has made in Far and the work he has done over the years as a producer. Shaun was a huge asset in crafting and harnessing the heaviness of the record without sacrificing the clarity and natural sonics that we wanted." more on this story

Singled Out: Recovery Council
Today Recovery Council guitarist/vocalist Rebeca Qualls tells us about the song "Reform" from their brand new album "Plan-Do-Check-Act," which is being released today (1/15). Here is the story:

It started as a couple of guitar parts for a previously untitled song I had written back when I was an undergrad at NC State. I was playing in an alt/rock band with a couple of guys, and guitar was still new and different to me, as I was primarily a bassist in metal bands. So the bass player in me would try to reproduce rhythm notes/chords on the top strings while the hack guitar player in me would strum the bottom strings in reverse to create sustain and texture. It was one of the first songs I used an alternate tuning on, and it was also one of the first songs where I threw an occasional wrench in the time signature. Somehow those two concepts stuck and have become part of my somewhat lopsided foundation as a guitarist.

Now comes the serious part…the lyrics to "Reform" are pretty personal. They stem from a period of time where I had to put music and writing on hold to get other parts of my life together. I had been questioning my path and where I wanted to be, all the while noting that time was just ticking away. I usually would tangle through all these thoughts and feelings to clear my head by creating music and writing because, truth be told, I think too damn much as it is. And at the time I was doing neither. This was never how I imagined being, and it was depressing. As a result, I struggled with my own reservations, and was well on my way to becoming the polar opposite of the rational me who refused to postpone joy. I knew I needed to start rebuilding music and writing back into my life and do what I love, regardless of odds, adversity, or outcome. I've never been the type of person who is content with the status quo, and the easy road has rarely if ever been an option. I was thinking about this one day and the image of "flying a kite along some power lines in a thunderstorm" came to my mind. It eventually became the refrain of the song, and the rest of the lyrics were built around it to describe the catalyst for the change that I needed to bounce back.

This Or The Apocalypse Release New Hate The Ones You Love Video
This Or The Apocalypse have released a new music video for their song, "Hate The Ones You Love."

The song comes from the group's latest album, "Dead Years" and the clip was directed by veteran director David Brodsky.

Frontman Rick Armellino explains the concept: "Hate the Ones You Love was the first complete track that we knew would end up on Dead Years and it helped frame the rest of the album. The lyrics themselves are about how often I find myself mistrusting or even disliking people who remind me of myself, and what it's like to try and remain trusted to those you love when you can't accept who you are. Writing a script around the lyrical themes and acting for the first time seemed risky but the final product really matches what we are trying to do. Brodsky is an artist, I can't describe how cool it was working with him. Hope you guys dig it!" Watch it here.

Def Leppard At War With Universal
(Classic Rock) Frontman Joe Elliott says Def Leppard's former record label, Universal, should treat the band with more respect because "we built their penthouse sushi bar".

Leppard are re-recording as much of their back catalogue as possible after failing to reach an agreement with Universal over digital releases. And last month the band cut five acoustic songs performed during their Rock Of Ages tour for a medley released to iTunes.

"We're trying to wrestle back our career and ownership of these songs," said Elliott in an interview in the latest issue of Classic Rock. "They [Universal] own the originals, we're at loggerheads with them over the digital rights. And as long as they're playing silly buggers we'll just keep recording them again."

The singer continued: "Until we can come to some kind of humane conclusion to this ridiculous stand-off, we're going to say: 'F**k you!' We were offered a great deal two years ago and shook hands on it. And then some other twat at the label put a stop to it. It's our life and our music and we're not going to let them exploit us to the extent that they're trying to." more on this story

(hennemusic) Former Thin Lizzy members – now known as Black Star Riders - entered the studio this week with producer Kevin Shirley to record their debut album.

"There was something about this riff that very much sounds like it could have been on 'Johnny The Fox' or 'Bad Reputation.' I had this moment in there today when we were tracking it and Scott and I were like standing right in front of each other…his vibrato is one of the greatest of all time and I've totally tried to emulate Scott my whole life…and I had this moment of 'holy sh*t, I'm in the studio with Scott Gorham, playing a lick that I came up with one morning that sounds just like Thin Lizzy.'" Randy Rhoads Family Sues Over Book
The estate and family of late Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot guitarist Randy Rhoads have filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against the authors and publisher of a new coffee table book about the legendary musician.

The following announcement about the lawsuit and their reasons for it was sent out: In late 2012 Randy Rhoads mother, Delores Rhoads, siblings Kathryn Rhoads D'Argenzio and Kelle Rhoads, learned that a coffee table book titled "Randy Rhoads" had been released, co-authored by Andrew Klein and rock writer Steven Rosen with the assistance of Peter Margolis and Denny Anderson.

The family obtained a copy of the book. They were both astonished and horrified to see that Klein and Margolis are holding themselves out as "experts" on the life of Randy Rhoads, implying that they had the approval and cooperation of the Rhoads family, which they did not.

On April 1, 2007, Margolis entered into an agreement with the Rhoads family to produce a single documentary film on the life of Randy Rhoads. Margolis assured the family that the film would be completed within three years. From that point on, however, Margolis himself did not own any of the ideas and materials obtained or created in the production of the documentary, or any of the photos, videos or sound recordings collected for use in it, having assigned all of that to Dakota Films, the company financing and producing the documentary. Over the next several years, Margolis, Klein and others, working for Dakota Films, went forward with the project. Although Margolis reportedly claimed, as of early 2012, that the documentary was completed – "in the can"—it has never been released. Individuals who saw portions of it during production have reported that it was "edited poorly and unprofessionally," and that the quality of the film was "abysmal." The Rhoads family was frustrated by what they considered the mediocre quality of Margolis's film, and by the fact that the "official documentary" they had so long hoped for had never come to fruition. This has been especially painful for Randy's mother, Delores Rhoads, who is now in her nineties, and has spent the last three decades carefully preserving and advancing the legacy of her son. more on this story

Singled Out: Adler
Today Jacob Bunton from Adler tells us about their new single "Good To Be Bad" which comes from their debut album "Better Off Dead". Here's the story:

"Good To Be Bad" is an anthem that almost everyone can relate to. No matter what you do in life, there is a dark place rooted in your mind that you can't run away from. Some try to turn it off and others embrace it, but it's always there.

It's like the old cartoons that portray an angel on your left shoulder and a devil on the right. We all have free will to do right or wrong, but sometimes the line is blurred depending on religion, morals, political beliefs, life circumstances, etc.

This song is written from the view point of someone living in excess and just not caring about the consequences. It was one of the most fun songs to record. John 5 from Rob Zombie came in and played guitar on the track and absolutely nailed it. It's my favorite song off the record to play live.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and watch their new lyric video here.

TOM KEIFER SET TO LAUNCH FIRST-EVER SOLO TOUR IN SUPPORT OF 'THE WAY LIFE GOES,':

TOM KEIFER SET TO LAUNCH FIRST-EVER SOLO TOUR IN SUPPORT OF 'THE WAY LIFE GOES,':

Best known as the singer/songwriter/guitarist of the Philadelphia-based Blues-Rock band Cinderella, TOM KEIFER is making his debut as a solo artist with the release of his long-awaited and highly anticipated solo album, THE WAY LIFE GOES, April 30 via Merovee Records (through Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group).
The collection of 14 new songs ranges from intimate, organic, acoustic tracks to driving hard rock. It embraces the blues, rock and country roots that have always been present in his unique sound that has generated the sale of over 15 million records worldwide for Cinderella. Rolling Stone praised KEIFER as "a gritty, bluesy (rocker) with enough genuine swagger to draw comparisons to Mick Jagger."
"The Flower Song," the album's first single, will be serviced to AAA radio stations nationwide on February 4, while "Solid Ground" will be serviced to all Rock formats on March 11.
THE WAY LIFE GOES is a raw, introspective look at the roller coaster ride that has been KEIFER's life for the past 15 years. From being told that he would never sing again as a result of a partially paralyzed left vocal cord, to the emotional and personal battles that followed, his solo debut is a story of perseverance, a testament to the power of passion and will, when combined with a true love of music.
In touring news, KEIFER will launch his first-ever solo tour on February 9 in Winston-Salem, NC at Ziggy's. The 14-city trek of small, intimate rooms is an up-close and personal preview of songs from THE WAY LIFE GOES along with some Cinderella classics. Dates beyond February 28 are currently in the works.

TOM KEIFER recently spoke with HuffingtonPost.com about THE WAY LIFE GOES. "The idea for a solo record started in the nineties when the band parted ways and we left Universal," he said. "There was just a changing of the guard in the industry at that time and I started thinking about a solo record. I wrote for it for many years and the songs just kept going on the pile and I never got around to actually making a record...We started cutting tracks for this record in 2003 and I went to the pile of songs that had been building up and picked some that I liked and I've just been working on it ever since. It was produced independently of a label, because the idea from the beginning was to just work and record until I was happy with it. I wrote with a lot of different people--my wife, Savannah, who's a great writer, co-wrote a lot of the songs on the record and also co-produced the record with me, and a good friend of ours, Chuck Turner who's a great engineer and producer. So from the beginning, the attitude was, 'Let's have fun and just make a great record and it'll be done when it's done.' Little did we know it'd be nine years later…it's done and we went through some crazy stuff and mixed and remixed and reworked things over and over and probably made a lot of mistakes along the way, but finally got it where we were all happy with it, so here it is."

Here's the complete track listing for THE WAY LIFE GOES: 1. Solid Ground 2. A Different Light 3. It's Not Enough 4. Cold Day In Hell 5. Thick And Thin 6. Ask Me Yesterday 7. Fools Paradise 8. The Flower Song 9. Mood Elevator 10. Welcome To My Mind 11. You Showed Me 12. Ain't That A Bitch 13. The Way Life Goes 14. Babylon.

Slash Slams Scott Weiland Over Velvet Revolver Reunion Talk
(Classic Rock) Slash is fed up with Scott Weiland's "rantings" about rejoining Velvet Revolver, saying: "None of us have a clue what he's talking about… We're not buying it."
Frontman Weiland, who was booted out of Velvet Revolver in 2008 and subsequently got back together with Stone Temple Pilots, has been talking up a reunion with his VR bandmates Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner.

However, in an interview in the new issue of Classic Rock, Slash bristled at the mere mention of Weiland's name, insisting: "I don't even want to give him this attention, to tell you the truth."

The top-hatted one added: "I think at this point Scott just got fired from STP and I think he's trying to pull off that trick of trying to get something else going on, and we're not buying it. The door's shut on this side and it's probably shut on that side too, so he's on his own. And he deserves it too." more on this story

Metal Guitarist Arrested For Attempted Murder
Oblivion Myth guitarist Chris Selby was arrested for attempted murder in the first degree last week for allegedly dangling a woman off a third story balcony during an argument.

The band's lead singer Ray LeGrand posted the following statement on the group's Facebook page: "PUBLIC STATEMENT: It is with absolute shock and disbelief that I find myself writing this statement. About 30 minutes ago my phone started ringing and numerous text messages came to me asking for comment on longtime Oblivion Myth guitarist Chris Selby. This was the first myself or any other member of the band were made aware of the situation. At this time, all we know is that Chris has been arrested on attempted murder in the first degree for "dangling a woman off a third story balcony" at Tulip Grove Apartments in Hermitage, TN.

"My first concern is for this yet to be identified woman and the second is for our friend and band-mate, Chris Selby. Obviously this situation has implications for the band as well and we will deal with them in time. For now, I would ask that you honor our privacy as we are absolutely distraught over this information. We will likey post an update as we learn more, but honestly, our information is the same as everyone elses right now. Thank God that this situation did not end any worse than it already is. Please pray for all those involved." Band's Facebook page.

Scorpions Call Off Retirement Plans
(hennemusic) Three years after announcing plans to retire, and just weeks after completing their farewell tour, The Scorpions have revealed plans to continue on as a band.

"As the emotion built, it [not retiring] became a gradual decision," frontman Klaus Meine tells Classic Rock magazine. "It's one thing to say, 'This is going to be the end of the Scorpions' and another to do it. Our 'Sting In The Tail' album [2010] was such a success that a whole new generation of fans joined the party. It was amazing. And you know that with all the best parties it's sometimes hard to find the door?"

There are plans for a new Scorpions album, featuring leftovers from the early 1980s. "We started that over a year ago," Meine confirmed. "It will be material that was never finished; songs with pure Scorpions DNA from a very exciting time. Once we close the book on the crazy touring schedule that's something we'll pick up again." more on this story

Rob Caggiano Leaves Anthrax
Anthrax guitarist Rob Caggiano has left the group to focus on his career as a record producer. Both Caggiano and the band have addressed the change.

The band had this to say: "Rob has been an integral part of Anthrax for so many years, as our lead guitarist, in a production capacity, but most of all, as our close friend. His contributions to the band have been enormous. While we are sad that he is leaving, we wish him nothing but great success going forward, and hope to share the stage with him again sometime down the road.

"With the Metal Alliance Tour on the horizon, we have been considering several lead guitarist options, and will be making an announcement on that shortly."

Caggiano issued this statement: "I'm extremely proud of my time in Anthrax. Actually, that's an understatement! We accomplished so many great things together over the years and I shared some of the best times of my life with these guys. As a band, we also weathered quite a few storms along the way. It's been a wild ride (to say the least) from Day One and I wouldn't change one single thing about the last 12 years. This is an extremely difficult and emotional decision for me to make but my heart is just steering me in a different direction right now. I've always been one to follow my heart in everything that I do and while this might be one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, it feels like the right one for me at this time. Scott, Charlie, Joey, Frankie (and John Bush) will always be part of my family and this decision doesn't change the way I feel about that in the slightest. I would also like to say thanks to all the amazing fans I've met and hung out with worldwide over the years. You guys always were and always will be the reason why I make music! In this day and age, being a musician isn't always easy -also an understatement- but the fans truly make it worthwhile for me. I hope to see each and every one of you again really soon. The fact that Anthrax is at the top of their game right now and totally 'out for blood' after all these years is a testament to this band's longevity and conviction! I'm truly honored to have been a part of their brilliant legacy." more on this story

Waters Emphatically Rules Out Pink Floyd Reunion
(Classic Rock) Roger Waters has emphatically ruled out a Pink Floyd reunion once and for all – saying the band "was over" in 1985 when he left.

In recent years relations between him and surviving members David GIlmour and Nick Mason have thawed to the point where all three appeared during a performance of Waters' The Wall in 2011.

But that's as far as it goes, says the former mainman. He tells the Sun: "I can't. I left Pink Floyd for very good reasons, and it was the right and proper thing to do. It was over in in 1985 – and it's still over." more on this story

Framing Hanley Preview Songs From New Album
Framing Hanley are giving fans an early preview of several songs set to appear on their forthcoming album, "The Sum Of Who We Are"

The band hopes to release the album later this year and have released a preview video for the album and its artwork on YouTube featuring five songs. Listen here.

"The cover is a photo of my son at the park taken by our drummer Chris' wife Krystl" says frontman Nixon. "When my wife showed me the picture, it immediately resonated in so many ways. At the time, the other band members and I were all going back and forth for cover ideas for the record, but when I saw this, it was just too strong of an image to not be used. It was perfect! Looking at that picture I see so many things. I see innocence. I see determination...the 'I'll make my own path' adage. Walking from the light, to the darkness; that to me is a pretty heavy statement in itself. I could go on all day with a million different things of what the picture says to me, but the best thing about this cover is I think it's a picture people can look at and interpret their own meaning. No different than a song really. I love hearing a fan's perspective of a song because it is always different. I expect this picture to be the same." more on this story

Rival Sons Go Stop-Motion For Until The Sun Comes Video
(Classic Rock) Rival Sons have released a stop-motion music video for their track "Until The Sun Comes."

It's taken from the band's last album, Head Down, which Classic Rock named the number-two album of 2012. The band also won Breakthrough Act Of The Year at our Roll of Honour Award ceremony in November.

But while Rival Sons are enjoying the limelight, they're hoping not to be branded with the label of being a retro act. Guitarist Scott Holiday tells Dropping The Needle: "We're not trying to make an old-sounding record or a retro record. We're just trying to make a record that sounds good. We're using plenty of new things and tons of really old stuff, too. Not to be cool, but just to make the best sounding record. I'm touchy because we get the 'retro' tag a lot." NEW ROCK CANDY TITLES - THE MONEY MAN:EDDIE MONEY

NEW ROCK CANDY TITLES - THE MONEY MAN:

Four new Rock Candy titles are available now from www.rockcandyrecords.com for a discounted price of £10.99 each including postage to anywhere in the world for the next two weeks ending on 20 January 2013.

Eddie Money 'S/T' CANDY172 - The name Eddie Money carries an impressive cache in the world of melodic rock. With a string of successful albums under his arm, together with a one in a million voice, Mr Money has earned a reputation as an artist who can be relied upon to always deliver the goods, starting with this his debut album, originally issued in 1977. Born Eddie Mahoney in Brooklyn in 1949, he joined the New York Police Department on leaving school, primarily to escape being drafted, whilst simultaneously singing for a hard rock band. Eventually though, he moved out to California and when his band there broke up he was mentored as a solo artist by renowned promoter Bill Graham who organised a record deal with CBS. This debut album was produced by former Doors alumni Bruce Botnick, with able assistance from famed engineers Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin) and Mike Clink (Guns 'N Roses). It also featured musical support from members of the Steve Miller Band and introduced guitarist Jimmy Lyon, a man who would act as the perfect foil for Eddie's instantly identifiable voice. The album was a major success boasting two massive hits, namely 'Two Tickets To Paradise' and 'Baby Hold On'. Achieving sales in excess of two million units, the album is recognised as one of Eddie's best works.
24-bit remastering from original source tapes, 3,500 word essay about the making of the album, new interview with Eddie, enhanced artwork and previously unseen photos all spread out over a 12 page full colour booklet.
Track Listing: 1. Two Tickets To Paradise 2. You've Really Got A Hold On Me 3. Wanna Be A Rock 'N' Roll Star 4. Save A Little Room In Your Heart For Me 5. So Good To Be In Love Again 6. Baby Hold On 7. Don't Worry 8. Jealousys 9. Got To Get Another Girl 10. Gamblin Man.

Eddie Money 'Life For The Taking' CANDY173 - Eddie Money's life was turned upside down by the runaway success of his 1977 debut 'Eddie Money'. The fast-talkin' New Yorker had spent the best part of fifteen years chasing his dreams of rock stardom, first in bands on his native east coast, then right across the other side of the country following a move to Berkeley, California back in '68. Eventually, after being taken under the wing of legendary San Francisco-based promoter Bill Graham in 1976, he achieved the success he deserved. 'Life For The Taking' was his second album and recorded with a clever 'if it's not broken, don't fix it' approach. Sticking to what he knew best, Eddie reconvened the same team who worked on his debut album. The results were equally as magical, Eddie's identifiably gritty voice sitting atop a fine collection of songs that mixed r 'n' b with rock very much in the same style as his debut album. Issued in early 1979, the album consolidated the success of his debut, lodging itself in the top 20 of the US album charts. It also contained material that would provide more introspective lyrical content such 'You Can't Keep A Good Man Down' and the magnificent title track, a brooding epic inspired by his childhood experiences in Brooklyn.
24-bit remastering from original source tapes, 3,500 word essay about the making of the album, new interview with Eddie, enhanced artwork and previously unseen photos all spread out over a 12 page full colour booklet.
Track Listing: 1. Life For The Taking 2. Can't Keep A Good Man Down 3. Nightmare 4. Gimme Some Water 5. Rock And Roll The Place 6. Maybe I'm A Fool 7. Love The Way You Love Me 8. Maureen 9. Nobody 10. Call On Me.

Eddie Money 'Playing For Keeps' CANDY174 - Eddie Money's first two albums certainly set the scene: panoramic melodic hard rock filled with memorable hooks supporting an instantly identifiable rasp. It was a tailor made sound that perfectly fitted the American airwaves sitting comfortably besides music from the likes of Boston, Foreigner and Journey. A reliable style that served Eddie well and it was masterfully replicated on this, his third, album. Originally issued in 1980, 'Playing For Keeps' took the original Money format one stage further, upping the stakes by utilising producer in Ron Nevison. Nevison, of course, was the flavour of the time having learnt his craft engineering Led Zeppelin and the Who before embarking on a career guiding some of the world's most successful AOR albums including records from Jefferson Starship, Survivor and Heart. Keeping the basics of his band in place (including super-guitarist Jimmy Lyons) the tracks were augmented by a number of high profile guests, including drummer Carmine Appice. Highlights include 'Trinidad', 'Running Back' and 'Let's Be Lovers Again' all featuring Money's soulful vocal and high energy delivery. That Eddie Money is one of the best performers of his generation is in no doubt, with 'Playing For Keeps' solidly reinforcing that assertion.
24-bit remastering from original source tapes, 3,500 word essay about the making of the album, new interview with Eddie, enhanced artwork and previously unseen photos all spread out over a 12 page full colour booklet.
Track Listing: 1. Trinidad 2. Running Back 3. The Wish 4. Get A Move On 5. When You Took My Heart 6. Satin Angel 7. Let's Be Lovers Again 8. Nobody Knows 9. Million Dollar Girl.

Eddie Money 'No Control' CANDY175 - Looking to expand his success even further, Eddie Money carefully took stock of the situation. His first two albums had been huge critical and commercial successes but his third album 'Playing For Keeps', despite its artistic quality, failed to match the impressive sales of the former records. It was also a particularly challenging time health wise for Eddie – suffering from Sciatica (a debilitating nerve disorder) he was forced to record 'No Control' severely handicapped and in considerable pain. Switching to work with a new producer, the revered Tom Dowd (Derek & The Dominoes, Rod Stewart etc), 'No Control' brought Eddie' s music back into focus, giving it the spit and polish required to elevate the contents to classic status. Above all else, it was the quality of the songs that gave the record a golden hue and the raw yet polished production made it shoe-in for saturation play on FM radio. Chief amongst the best tracks were the two hit singles 'Think I'm In Love' and 'Shakin'', but there were deeper songs to explore such as the John Bellushi tribute 'Passing By The Graveyard (Song For John B)'. With the continued presence of guitar foil Jimmy Lyons, 'No Control' shot Eddie back into the spotlight, notching up sales in excess of three million and re-establishing him as one of the era's most prolific stars.
24-bit remastering from original source tapes, 3,500 word essay about the making of the album, new interview with Eddie, enhanced artwork and previously unseen photos all spread out over a 12 page full colour booklet.
Track Listing: 1. Shakin' 2. Runnin' Away 3. Think I'm In Love 4. Hard Life 5. No Control 6. Take A Little Bit 7. Keep My Motor Runnin' 8. My Friends, My Friends 9. Drivin' Me Crazy 10. Passing By The Graveyard (Song For John B.) 11. It Could Happen To You.
