Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day Reunion Film Getting Theatrical Encore
For fans that missed their chance to see the Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day reunion concert film in theaters, you are getting another chance with the announcement of an encore theatric event that will take place on November 13th. We were sent these details:

Following the worldwide success of Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day, the cinema concert event which presented live footage of the band's 2007 reunion concert at London's O2 Arena, there has been an enormous response from fans – 1.7 million fans have visited the fan's website. The film was screened in 15,000 cinemas around the world for a strictly limited engagement on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. Fans who were unable to attend the original tribute concert for Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun in 2007, when more than 20 million fans applied for the 18,000 available tickets in a worldwide lottery, finally had the opportunity to see it as if they had front row tickets. The film earned $2 million in a single night and was a phenomenal success.

Omniverse Vision, the UK-based distribution company that released Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day, a two-hour-plus tour de force of the band's signature blues-infused rock 'n' roll, has been working with online marketing specialist Distrify to track the response from fans online via an interactive platform on the Led Zeppelin website. With 100,000 hits a day, including 46,000 searches for show times and 4,000 requests for local screenings, Distrify has been able to compile the information needed for Omniverse Vision executives to agree to schedule encore performances in select markets to meet the demands of Led Zeppelin's fans. There has been overwhelming interest in additional screenings from the U.S., the UK, Japan, Brazil, Canada, Italy, Germany, France, Mexico and Australia. more on this story

Exhumed Cancel Canadian Tour Dates After Border Patrol Problems
Exhumed have been forced to cancel a number of tour dates with Napalm Death and Municipal Waste after running into issues with the Canadian border patrol.

Exhumed vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey explains: "If you have a DUI, like four out of six people in our tour party do, the Canadian border patrol will charge you $200 per person to obtain a 'temporary resident permit' to be in the country, or, if they feel like being d**ks, they can arbitrarily decide to just not let you in. We've never had an issue getting in, but this time they decided to be d**ks.

"The woman we spoke to at customs informed us that we had received too many TRPs in too short of a time and would not be able to apply for any further TRPs until we had all completed their extremely convoluted rehabilitation process. We had to sign documents that legally bound us to leave the country immediately, and stated that if we were found in Canada after being denied entry, we would be arrested. W.A.S.P.'s Blackie Lawless Tributes His Late Brother
On Saturday W.A.S.P. frontman Blackie Lawless wrote a blog tribute to his brother, Clifford L. Duren, who passed away on Friday. Here is what he had to say on his Facebook page:

For just a moment I'd like to go back to the "Crimson Idol". We were playing in Tillburg last night and I got a phone call from my sister Brenda about 6 PM informing me that our brother had passed away. When we look at death we measure it in one or more stages of life. The death of a parent is the death of our past. The death of a spouse or mate is the death of the present. The death of a child is the death of the future, in that their future will now never happen. The death of my brother represents both the past and the present for me. Part of my childhood is now gone as well as the present.

He was a mentor to me in my early years. Much of the advice he gave me I still use to this day. As a kid, I admired him more than he would ever know. Doing that show last night was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. When we were at the end of the Crimson Idol part of the show, I looked up at one of the screens just as Jonathan was being laid on the bed. I could not control my emotions anymore and walked to the side of the stage and cried.

My brother in some ways was in the story of the "Idol" in the same ways I guess that all siblings compete for their parents attention. As a writer we draw from all the things around us so it's understandable that my relationship with him would be in the story to some degree. Me being the younger brother it's natural to see the older brother as your hero. As a writer I've tried to share myself with you all, even the intimate details of my life to give you a better understanding of who I am so you can better see the man behind the lyrics.

The "Idol" was ultimately a story about love. I write this to say, if there is someone in your life you need to tell that you love them….don't wait.

In Memory of Clifford L. Duren

"There are a number of Led Zeppelin projects that will come out next year because there are different versions of tracks that we have that can be added to the album so there will be box sets of material that will come out, starting next year. "We were an army marching on," said Tyler. "We were raping and pillaging and going from town to town. New York's Madison Square Garden…wherever it was…and when it's done, you don't go back and go bowling, or knit in your room." Watch video from the performance here

Dirge Within Recruit Divine Heresy Frontman As Their New Singer
Dirge Within have recruited Divine Heresy's Travis Neal to replace Jeremy "Jerms" Genske as their vocalist.

Back in August the band announced via their Facebook page that they were having issues with Genske with the following: "As a few of you have been inquiring, we feel the need to be honest with our fans. We did have a fill in singer last night at the House of Blues Chicago with Static-X. There have been many events leading up to our singer's departure from the band, although he has not contacted any of us yet and officially quit. Jerms has been absent from many practices while the rest of the band has been hard at work rehearsing and preparing for shows. He refused to be in certain scenes in our latest video unless his girlfriend could also be in the video, which the rest of the band did not agree with. He has made it very difficult for us to work with him and has not shown interest in being a part of this band. We were told by Jerms that he could not play this show due to personal reasons.

"As a band, we decided that we wanted to be there for our fans and continue on to play the show last minute using fill in singer "Adam Gilley" from Product Of Hate. We were asked personally by Wayne Static to play this show and no one in the band wanted to miss out on playing such a killer show with good friends. We have had to decline three shows prior due to Jerm's personal schedule and the band did not feel like he has been honest with us. This band respects our fans and will continue to put forth are best efforts as we always have, in order to deliver an amazing show and music."

On Wednesday they also took to their Facebook page to announce his replacement: "We are extremely proud and excited to announce Travis Neal as our new vocalist! The band has wasted no time and has begun writing new material as well as planning some new shows in Feb. We have also put together a raw 100% LIVE rehearsal video of us jamming on some material off of both records so all of our amazing fans can get a nice taste of what's to come. We are excited for all to join us In this new chapter. We will have some more cool stuff surfacing online very soon so keep on the look out!!"

Various media reports state that this is the same Travis Neal that fronts Divine Heresy. The band also posted rehearsal video with their new frontman. Check it out here.

Robert Plant Wrote Album Worth of Material With Band Of Joy's Miller
(hennemusic) Band Of Joy guitarist and producer Buddy Miller tells Rolling Stone that Robert Plant visited his home studio in Nashville last year for a casual joint songwriting session that proved fertile, yielding an inspired batch of songs that the pair quickly recorded with BOJ drummer Marco Giovino.

"We didn't mean to, but we sort of wrote a record's worth [of material] and I said, 'While we're doing this, why don't I put up some mics and document it,' because that's better than just trying to remember it or record it on your phone," explains Miller. "And it sounded so good I think we, you know, accidentally made a record."

It's not finished yet, and there's no indication whether Plant will actually release it when it is, so Miller chooses his words carefully. "I don't know how much [Robert] would want me talkin' about it," he says, though he does allow that the songs they recorded would make for a raw counterpart to Plant's 2010 "Band Of Joy" album. "If the last record might be pastoral, parts of it, [this one's] much more tribal; it's much more urgent and tribal and, dare I say, rockin'!" more on this story

Jason Bonham Can't Say What's Preventing Led Zeppelin Reunion
(hennemusic) Jason Bonham knew he had some very large shoes to fill when he stepped behind the drum kit for Led Zeppelin's 2007 reunion show at London's 02 Arena.

As for playing with Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones again, Jason says "I'd be a fool if I said, no. At the New York press conference there were three questions in a row, asking 'Are you gonna do something again?' Robert didn't get the hump exactly, but he gets the hard end of the stick. So he said, 'Haven't you got another question about the film itself?' But I can see why they're asking. Because when you watch the film, we all look like we are having such a great time, it's no wonder people want to know if we're going to do it again"

Asked what's preventing a more prolonged Zeppelin reunion from happening, "I can't say. I don't know," explains the drummer. "Let's say, it's in the lap of the gods. Everybody is actually getting along great at the moment. I've learned in the last few years that the Internet is not your best mate, and there are a few doubters out there. So the film was a great thing to watch. I know I live in the shadow of the greatest drummer in the world, so it's nice to have a bit of sunshine now and again." more on this story

(CBS Local) In The Last Waltz, Martin Scorsese's 1978 film about The Band's infamous final concert, the focus is all on guitarist Robbie Robertson.

Titled Ain't in It for My Health: A Film About Levon Helm, the film chronicles Helm's late-2000s comeback of sorts, marked by his 2007 album Dirt Farmer, 2009 Grammy-winning album Electric Dirt and his Midnight Ramble concert series. Director Jacob Hatley shot the film over a period of more than two years, spending much time on location at Helm's Woodstock, N.Y. home. more on this story

Singled Out: Message To Venus
Today Message To Venus vocalist Jandre Nadal tells us about their new single "Change" from their latest album "The Envelope". Here is the story:

I remember sitting on the beach one day, relaxing my mind from some uneasy situations I was going through. We can all sometimes get comfortable with a certain lifestyle. Confused or manipulated, our minds become contaminated by their surroundings.

I was thinking about how others have managed to change for the good or the bad, to be reborn, to start over again, to cleanse their thoughts, to be given a hand or to be left out. We are all looking for a change, and sometimes we have to accept a loss in order to gain.

I was still living at my parents' house at the time, lost my job, music was far from going where I wanted it to. My relationship was a mess, I was a mess. I was distracted from the path I was meant to take by decisions I was doubting. I remember hearing an Arabic-style melody going through my head over and over and over again. Similar to the music of the gypsies and Ravi Shankar. 'Change' was born. At first I wrote the lyrics with a "looking back" point of view. But I didn't want to be someone who dwells too much in the past, carrying unnecessary weight on my shoulders. I wanted to look forward. The song lost its direction around that time, so I rewrote a new addition, something else to motivate myself and others to do the better, to change. Now I pretty much feel like I'm back on my feet mentally, physically and socially.

At the time when 'Change' was coming out as another single, we had the opportunity to perform with MGMT in front of thousands of people. We decided to do a live video for it. Getting footage of us having a good time backstage, at rehearsal, just goofing around because it's part of the progress and the relationship you have as musicians but most important, as people. We yet didn't have the budget for a storyline but it was still fun and and we kept it as real as possible.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself as you watch the video right here!

Aerosmith Explain New Song We All Fall Down
(hennemusic) Aerosmith have premiered "We All Fall Down," another new track from the band's forthcoming album, "Music From Another Dimension."

The tune is the only song on the project not written by a member of the group. The ballad was put together by Diane Warren, who wrote Aerosmith's 1998 smash, "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," which was the band's first Number One pop hit.

"The chorus goes 'We . . . all . . . fall . . . down.' That's monumental in any song. When you do a song and all of a sudden just the drums are there?" Steven Tyler tells Rolling Stone. "That's magic in songs. So when I heard that, I knew it was just weird enough for us to pull off." more on this story

Sites & Sounds: ShipRocked- M For Montreal- More
antiMusic Travel Editor Kevin Wierzbicki tells us about upcoming music events this month including ShipRocked 2012, Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival, and M For Montreal.

Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival
November 8 – 18, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida

This festival is a bit unusual in that it takes place in several locations and across state lines but the Gulf of Mexico-hugging communities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama and Perdido Key and Pensacola, Florida are all within close proximity of one another so making the rounds to see the artists of your choosing should not be a problem. The festival is also a bit different in that famous songwriters and players appear right alongside new talents; some of those in the former category scheduled to appear include Sonny Throckmorton, Grayson Capps, Joey + Rory, Randall Bramblett, Billy Dean, Carl Jackson, E. G. Kight, Billy Earl McClelland, Suzi Ragsdale, Gove Scrivenor, Michael Smotherman and Keith Stegall. Among the youngest of new talents scheduled to appear are 16-year-old Courtney Yovich, Mobile's Sara Stearman (18), Pensacola native Jourdan Pace (19), Abigail Osteen (16) and local girls Brittany Cole (14) and Summerlyn Powers (11). NEW VAN HALEN ALREADY IN THE CAN FOR 2013?:

It's been a quiet patch for Van Halen fans (we're used to that!), but that doesn't mean I haven't been keeping my ear to the ground for any news or rumors. What I have today comes under the "rumor" category, so don't shoot the messenger folks, just passing it along as it came from a good source.
What I heard today was that the band, when recording the A Different Kind Of Truth album, in fact recorded enough material for a second release and that could find its way into our hands in the first quarter of 2013 before the next leg of the band's tour commences. So....interesting and hopefully true, as I'm still spinning the latest album and loving it. Stay tuned...

Axl Rose Says Ex-Guns N' Roses Bandmates Damaged His Songwriting
Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose gave a revealing interview with USA Today to promote the band's residency in Las Vegas.

During the chat he explained why Chinese Democracy was delayed and how original band members effected his writing ability. Here are the excerpts:

Songwriting slump: Supermodel girlfriend Stephanie Seymour and original Guns guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan "did more damage to my ability as a writer. To those three, it was all crap. It beat me down so much. At the time of the (Use Your Illusion) tours, Slash and Duff said, 'You're an idiot, you're a loser.' I didn't write for years. I felt I was hindered for a very long time. I was also trying to figure out what I wanted to say, when it's right to be venting and when you're digging a bigger hole. Lyrics on Chinese took a long time."

The long wait for Chinese Democracy: "I had to deal with so many other things that don't have to do with music but have to do with the industry. There's such a loss of time. It was more about survival. There wasn't anyone to work with or trust. Someone would come in to help produce and the reality was they just wanted to mix it and get it out the door. They had a different agenda. (The next album) will come out sooner."

Who Killed (or Saved) The Music Industry?

"We really wanted to take a look at how the changes of the past decade or so have affected people in the industry - the artists, producers, engineers, label employees, managers, etc.," explains Phillips. "This is not about corporations or the faceless entities that the public often perceives the music business to be. This is about the creative, passionate people, both on stage and behind the scenes, that make their living in this industry."

Already in the works, Russell and Phillips have spoken to members from All Time Low, Deftones, The Used, Yellowcard, P.O.D., Myles Kennedy (Altar Bridge, Slash), Breathe Carolina, We The Kings, Four Year Strong, Anti-Flag and Dead Sara to name a few and are expected to interview many more in the coming months. more on this story

Hollywood Undead Release New Song From Dostoyevsky Inspired Album
Hollywood Undead have released the new single "We Are" from their forthcoming album Notes From The Underground and sent over these details about the track.

The song is being serviced to Modern and Active Rock Radio. "We Are" reunites the band with producer Danny Lohner [Nine Inch Nails, Puscifer], Johnny 3 Tears explains, "The song is about collective resistance. It's the silent majority, but we're using Los Angeles as the backdrop. Every time we work with Danny, he takes our music to the next level. He's willing to go as far outside the box as we are. As a whole, it's a good introduction to Notes From The Underground because it encompasses the band idealistically. Think of it as an ode to our misled youth."

The album title is an homage to the Fyodor Dostoyevsky novel—a Johnny 3 Tears personal favorite—the moniker alludes to what's really under the mask. "We've maintained an underground identity," Johnny 3 Tears remarked. "When we write songs, we're coming from a place people don't like to look at or talk about openly. As people get older, they get used to lying. We have a bond with so many kids because they have a trace of that honesty. They don't know how bad some things get yet. We tell them the truth." Singled Out: Hey Now, Morris Fader
Today Brooks Milgate from Hey Now, Morris Fader tells us about the song "The Blues and Alcohol" from their new album "Good Times Ne'er Forgot," which features guest appearances from members of Morphine, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Kingsley Flood, Reverse and more. Here is the story:

So, I had been trying to write material for the new record and was coming up with songs, but it all sounded the same to me. Like I just kept rewriting the same songs over and over, and the songs weren't all that great to begin with. I mentioned something to my wife about it and she came up with this idea – step away from the piano (which is typically where I write most of my music) and try to write something on the guitar. That was all it took. I started with the chorus progression and then the verses came, and the lyrics pretty much wrote themselves. I remember it was a Sunday and I was really bummed that I had to go back to work the next day – as most people are on Sunday evenings! So the lyrics took on a sarcastic look at having to spend so much time doing something you really couldn't care less about. The song title is implied in the second verse by suggesting that the blues and alcohol are how we cope with this reality – like I said, very sarcastic!

The song took shape over the next couple of rehearsals. I did a demo that I sent to the rest of the band of me playing it on guitar – power chords and distortion. It wasn't until we started rehearsing it with me on the piano where I started getting the idea for the horns. The horn lines basically wrote themselves. We did another demo of it as the trio and I took that and sequenced the horn parts (it sounded ridiculous!) and wrote some charts which I sent to our horn section to study for the recording. We knew we wanted guitar on the tune as well. My friend Troy Gonyea is probably the best guitarist you could ever meet, and we were honored to get him to play on our record. I sent him all the demos that I had – the one with distortion and power chords and the one without guitar. We never rehearsed the song with him, he just showed up at the studio to lay down his parts. I was expecting something similar to the versions I had sent him, but he pulls out his slide and says that he wants to try something. So we start rolling and he lays down this slide track like he's been playing the song for 10 years. Upon hearing his slide and the horn parts, it suddenly sounded drastically different, but way better. We were thrilled. There's so much going on in the song that the piano part ended up being extremely simple. My goal was to stay out of everything's way!

And one last funny story I remember about this specific tune was that there's two separate lyric parts going on in the chorus. I remember driving to the studio with Pez discussing what we should do in the chorus – up to that point, we only had the background part established and we felt that the chorus should be a bit more distinct. So then we just started coming up with different rhymes that we could involve with lyrics about booze, and ultimately the line "So fill my glass up, I'm pretty hard up". The line in the final chorus – "High balls are back and better than ever" – is an inside joke with Pez and some friends of ours. We were pumped that it fit into one of the choruses!

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!

Delta Rae Release Day Of The Dead Inspired Music Video
Delta Rae celebrated Halloween with the release of their Day Of The Dead inspired music video for their new single, "Dance In The Graveyards."

It's a song that celebrates death, which has deep meaning to the band, "These past few years have been the first of my life when I've lost people who were really close to me" explains Ian Holljes. "The death of one of my closest friends as well as a mentor with whom I lived with left a really strong impression with me and inspired this song. These people were wonderful parts of my life. For me, they're not resting in peace. They remain vivid, important influences in my life. They still move me, and in so many ways I'm still dancing with their spirits and the memories they left behind. The song reflects both my personal attitude towards dying, but also how I want to remember the people I love who have passed on."

"When it came time to shoot a video for the song, we wanted to pay homage to Dia de los Muertos, the Mexican holiday whose rituals treat death with a similar celebratory feeling as the song -- remembering the dead as vibrant and real -- and create a story where the dead and the living are reunited to dance together once more." Axl Rose Says Success Pulled Original Guns N' Roses Apart
(hennemusic) Guns N' Roses leader Axl Rose has a new interview with USA Today where he speaks openly about a variety of topics, including his past, writer's block, the music industry, new music, the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, and GNR's history.

"Here's what I miss about old Guns the most. And this is really before we got Appetite [For Destruction] out," said Axl. "In the very beginning, you had three people (Rose, Slash and guitarist Izzy Stradlin) on the same page for a short period looking out for the best interest of that band and its goals. We were trying to get signed from the beginning. We were figuring out the right attorney, the right label. I had two other guys I could rely on. I don't necessarily have that now because it is more my thing, but I do ask everyone's opinion about everything."

On the topic of how the original band might have lasted, Rose explained "Maybe if we could have worked together in the way Appetite was put together. I was really naïve. I thought the success of that record would bring everyone together more. It did the exact opposite. They got success and wanted to run in their own directions. I thought they'd go, 'Whoa, it did work.' But they wanted to do their own huge bigger success off of Guns." more on this story

Aerosmith Go Back To The 70s With Lover Alot
(hennemusic) Aerosmith have shared the story behind "Lover Alot" from their new album, "Music From Another Dimension."

"Lover Alot" was premiered back in August as the band wrapped up the first leg of their Global Warming tour.

The tune is reminiscent of the vibe of Aerosmith's classic 1970s tunes, thanks to some help by producer Jack Douglas. "He had been pummeled by people too: 'Do a record with Aerosmith, and make it sound like the old days,' and all that sh*t," guitarist Joe Perry tells Rolling Stone. "So I think he had more of an agenda of how to get it to sound, but he never sat in a room like this and said, 'Listen guys, I really think we should get a record that's a little bit of Rocks and a little bit of Toys [In The Attic], but a little bit of Permanent Vacation, but not so much that.' He did it from the background, because Jack can be a pretty sneaky f**k too." Check out the song here.

Another Aerosmith Member Weighs In On Comic-Book Band KISS
(hennemusic) Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton has weighed in on the battle with KISS which was sparked when Steven Tyler called them a "comic book rock band" in a recent interview.

"It's funny. I don't know where that came from. I guess he just happened to say something in the course of an interview and it got blown up." Hamilton tells Pure Grain Audio

"Well, there's some entertainment value there... Rivalry. Any story with good conflict in it is interesting," continued Hamilton. "We used to tour with them in the '70s. Actually, we didn't really do that many tours together. We did some shows together and then we parted ways because we had made it and then they made it. So, they were out on their own. There was a rivalry and I remember the dressing room talk about the opening act and what they wear, what they look like and what they do, but over the years I've come to have more respect for KISS through fans that I know."

"They have very very loyal fans and as far as Steven's comment in a way their origins are... If you talk to Gene Simmons, he might even agree with it," added Tom. Read more of his comments here.

Former Elysium Singer Found Dead
Former Elysium vocalist Terry Allen, 46, was found dead in his apartment last week, according to Noise Creep.

The site reports that Elysium's drummer, Tim Jorgensen, issued the following "open letter" about Allen's passing:

It is with my deepest regret that I must pass on the news of the death of Terry W. Allen. He was found dead in his apartment on Monday, October 22nd, 2012. To most reading this he was a great guitarist, innovative song writer, talented singer and the backbone to Elysium and the Inspired Hatred cd. He also played in Paramoure in the late 1980's, Phoenix Rising (a country band of all things) in the early 90's, Parricide, Rage (this goes way back to high school in the early 80's) and I am sure I am missing some as well. He was truly a rocker indeed. He brought the best out of me as a drummer and had a profound influence on me both musically and personally. I have truly been privileged to be part of Terry and his family since we started jammin' together at 11 years old. Read the rest of his statement here.

Saxon Set Release Date For Heavy Metal Thunder Movie
Saxon have set a November 20th, 2012 release date for their new documentary, "Heavy Metal Thunder - The Movie." Chipster sent over these details:

The double-disc set features the soon-to-be-celebrated story of Saxon, while the second disc is packed with bonus features including a full-length performance (on St. George's Day) from April 23rd, 2008. Rivetingly honest, and including the frank memories of every musician who has played in the band, Heavy Metal Thunder – The Movie pieces together the earliest incarnations of Saxon, from frontman Biff Byford's teenage years in the coalmines of Yorkshire and Son Of A Bitch (the first incarnation of Saxon) all the way through to top 10 hits and world tours.

"Our music was more sort of machinery banging together, wheels turning, machines making noise," says Biff of those early, industrial days, "It's what Heavy Metal is all about. Heavy Metal is all about hard, big sounds bashing your skull in. I used to work in factories where big machinery made lot of noise and I used to sing along to the noises they made." more on this story

Dave Stewart Documentary Premieres On TV This Week
MTV's high definition station Palladia is set to premiere Dave Stewart's documentary "The Ringmaster General" this Friday, November 2 at 9:00 PM (ET/PT).

Here is the synopsis: Filmed in Nashville during Stewart's recording sessions for two explosive albums--the acclaimed 2011 release, The Blackbird Diaries, and this year's The Ringmaster General (Weapons of Mass Entertainment/Surfdog)--this tongue-in-cheek documentary follows Stewart's adventures in songwriting, letting the viewer witness his eccentric but compelling methods of creativity. The days were filled with mayhem and martinis, while a circus of characters cross Stewart's path; many muses appear to join in the fun including Alison Krauss, Martina McBride, Colbie Caillat, The Secret Sisters, Joss Stone, Stevie Nicks, Jessie Baylin, Diane Birch and Orianthi.

The road that led to The Ringmaster General begins in London with the eruption of Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull volcano. Dave Stewart was grounded there with no hope of getting home to Los Angeles. A wander down Denmark Street leads him to a vintage guitar shop where an old acoustic guitar catches Dave's eye. Learning the previous owner was an eccentric country and western star named Red River Dave, Stewart gets inspired. The next morning a flight opens up, by way of Nashville, and Stewart jumps at the chance to investigate the music city. Magically Big Kenny (Big and Rich) leads the way into adventure with the documentary capturing a unique moment in time where the music business is locked out and the lunatics take over the asylum.

Brian May InTheStudio For Queen's News Of The World
(InTheStudio) The latest episode of the syndicated Rock radio show InTheStudio celebrates Queen's 1977 classic News Of The World.

News Of The World featuring perhaps the two most recognized Rock anthems in history. "We Will Rock You" and "We are the Champions." Brian May recalls to InTheStudio host Redbeard how Queen's singer Freddie Mercury envisioned those songs to be and why that spirit continues today.

"He (Freddie) could already see how it would be, if we played it in a concert and everyone had their hands in the air and we sang "We Are The Champions". And I could see that's what it's about. Years later we talked about it and he said to me, 'Rock'n'Roll is the only place where everybody has a feeling of like being on a team, but you're not fighting anybody.' It's like if you're at a game you have two sides who are singing their songs and feeling very much part of a team, but they all want to kill the other side. The difference at a rock concert is, everybody's in the same team." Stream the program here.

Singled Out: Sister Sin
This week Sister Sin released their new album, "Now and Forever" via Victory Records and to celebrate we asked Dave Sundberg to tell us about the track "End of the Line". Here is the story:

End of the Line" -The first single from our new album combines thrash-inspired riffs with a solid backbone of 80´s heavy Metal with a modern twist. Its fast paced and in your face! It is probably our most diverse song to date with many elements to it and lots of tempo changes. It was also the first time we´ve ever used a string section to give the chorus a real epic feel. Everything worked out fantastically along with the doomsday lyrics.

Got inspiration to the lyrics from all the "end of the world" prophecies surrounding the year 2012. It just got stuck in my head after our most recent tour in the U.S where we saw these "warnings" from the Christian Right in the South on billboards here and there.

As a movie fanatic I mixed up these impressions together with the storyline from "Terminator" and out came "End of the Line"

Your anthem to the apocalypse! Enjoy!

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
