As I type up this news update, Van Halen are on stage in LA for a special media showcase event, performing some classics and new album tracks for the gathered crowd. Pic below... Despite e-mailing band management, their PR company and 3 different reps from the label, I wasn't deemed worthy of an advance preview of the new A Different Kind Of Truth album, which is released in Australia tomorrow (Feb. 3). So with any luck iTunesAU will deliver pre-orders sometime after midnight tonight - at which stage I will try and tweet my first impressions on each song and the album as a whole.
